Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
ElsieCares (“ElsieCares,” “we,” “us”) provides a daily check‑in phone call service for parents and other loved ones, along with a short summary for the family member who signs them up. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how it’s used.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in a few ways:
- Account information you provide when signing up — your name, email, phone number, billing details, and information about the parent you’re setting up calls for (name, phone number, and any notes you choose to share).
- Call data from Elsie’s calls with your parent, including audio recordings, transcripts, and AI‑generated summaries of what was discussed.
- Usage information, such as how you interact with our dashboard and website.
- Payment information, processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our own servers.
3. How we use information
We use this information to:
- Place daily check‑in calls and let your parent call back for help.
- Generate and deliver call summaries to you.
- Remember context from prior calls so future calls feel personal and continuous.
- Process billing and manage your subscription.
- Maintain, secure, and improve the service.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers who help us operate ElsieCares, under contracts that limit their use of your data to providing services to us:
- Telephony and conversational AI providers, to place and conduct calls.
- Cloud storage and database providers, to securely store recordings, transcripts, and account data.
- Payment processors, to handle billing.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share call recordings or transcripts with third parties for advertising purposes.
5. Data retention
We retain call recordings, transcripts, and summaries for as long as your account is active, so that Elsie can recall relevant context and so you can review past calls. You can request deletion of this data at any time — see “Your choices” below.
6. Your choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data and your parent’s call data by contacting us at hello@elsiecares.com. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard, which stops future calls immediately.
7. Security
We use industry‑standard safeguards — including encryption in transit and access controls on stored recordings and transcripts — to protect information from unauthorized access.
8. Children and elder users
ElsieCares is intended to be set up by an adult family member on behalf of a parent or loved one. ElsieCares is not a medical or emergency service, and information gathered on calls should not be relied on for medical decisions.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify account holders by email.
