Terms of Service
Last updated: September 3, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
By signing up for or using ElsieCares, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
2. What ElsieCares is
ElsieCares places a daily phone call to a parent or loved one on your behalf, and lets that person call back for help with everyday tasks like groceries, rides, or appointments. We then send you a short summary. ElsieCares is not a medical, caregiving, or emergency service, and should never be relied on in place of medical care or emergency services (call 911 or local emergency services for emergencies).
3. Your account and the person you sign up
You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, including contact details for the parent or loved one you sign up. By signing up someone else for calls, you confirm you have their permission to do so and to share their information with us for that purpose.
4. Free trial, billing, and cancellation
New accounts include a free trial period, as described at signup. After the trial, your subscription bills automatically at the price shown at signup until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; cancellation stops future billing and future calls, and takes effect immediately unless stated otherwise at cancellation.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use ElsieCares to:
- Contact someone without their knowledge or consent.
- Harass, deceive, or cause harm to any person.
- Attempt to interfere with or reverse engineer the service.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
6. Call recordings and data
Calls made through ElsieCares may be recorded, transcribed, and summarized so we can provide the service, including recalling context across calls. Our Privacy Policy describes how this data is collected, used, and retained.
7. Disclaimers
ElsieCares is provided “as is.” We do our best to make sure calls happen reliably and summaries are accurate, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted service, and AI‑generated summaries may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate. ElsieCares is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, or financial advice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ElsieCares is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify account holders by email before the changes take effect.
10. Demo calls
The “try a call” demo on our website places one live, AI‑generated phone call to the number you provide, so you can hear what a real ElsieCares call sounds like. By entering a number and starting the call, you confirm that it’s your own number, or that you have permission from the person it belongs to, and you consent to receive that call.
- Standard message, data, or carrier call rates from your phone provider may apply.
- We record that a demo call was placed to the number provided (see our Privacy Policy), and may use it to prevent abuse of the demo feature.
- We may follow up about ElsieCares by phone, text, or email at the contact details you provide, and you can ask us to stop at any time by emailing hello@elsiecares.com.
- Demo calls are limited per number and per day, are for personal evaluation only, and are not a substitute for a paid subscription.
